well, i have swapped my ba with my ex drag race car engine (1992 mazda 323f bg )
.before to replace the engine,i have restore and upgrade him.
bp 05 with 0.5 mm resurfaced head
cx racing forged roads
new pistons rings and new rods coussinets .
arp rods bolt
2 camshaft catcams stage 1
new mazda head gasket
fidanza flywheel
xtd stage 2
homemade itb (actualy in progress)
mishimoto radiator
gates racing timing belt
engine management sybele challenger 6
and many modifications and equipements..this is some pictures of my work.

Bonjour J-nacy your English is very good . I am loving this set up what double radiator is this from a honda? I also have the Mishimoto half radiator. The home made itbs are looking sweet keep up the good work and more photos please. What power are you running or hoping to get. Or you keeping it N/A or going to turbo it in the near future

hi,thank you. the radiateur is a mishimoto mazda 323 bj model.i will need to make some modifications,because this radiator is too height.
but i dont have find the ba fitting.
the itb come from an bike,i will use a turbo air intake pipe ,and i will cut the plate for weld to the itb.
i will stay in atmospheric set up,because i have change the compression rate.

Why didn't you swap head for bp4w? They have better cams, and since they have solid lifters would allow you to mount some crazy cams in future.

Did you mount High Compression pistons or only shaved head?

because i have 4 bp05 but not a bp 4w. i have 2 camshaft catcams stage 1 (for the moment).
i gave buy a brand new piston +1mm but i dont have use because the rest of my parts isn't not compatible

Like the wheels- I assume they are white-painted MX-5 NB ones similar to mine (see here)?

its exatly,this is painted nbfl wheels.
i have added one enkei sticker for a personal touch.
the nb wheel are authenticly enkei ,so with the sticker that's cool too i think.

hi,the 323f has been a lot distibuted in france but,here that is a sinmple car of dailly usage.
in france the customers generaly use honda or nissan,but mazda are not their first choice for race preparation.
the mazda modeles used by customer are the miata or the rx.
many 323f in france are a smple family car or mazda lovers.
we had essentialy z5 engine in ba.
but with 323f bg we had 2, 1.6l b6 s.o.h.c,1 with carburator and 1.injection (bg1442 and 14e2) and 2, 1.8 bp d.o.h.c (14g2 and 1472)

you may of mentioned above but what kind of power is this running now?

for the moment i dont know ,because i must install my sybele ecu and do one map.
i dont know what power i will won with this configuration.

i have a question for you ? have you one seller in your country where i find an 4-2-1 for the bp of the protege ?.
i know the mercury tracer ,kia sephia,ford escort gt,and ford laser have this engine ,in france this is impossible to buy this.

I think you really need to add like 30/40mm spacers to notice a difference with the BA's. I have 20mm hubcentric's on so that my wheels clear the coilovers but it doesn't look any different in track width.

ok,some say that is dangerous for the rolling,beyond 10 mm.
i dont know if this is really risk

Well I've had these hubcentric spacers on for a few years now and after multiple track days - where treatment hasn't exactly been light - they've held up really well with no issues at all!

If you're just slamming the small spacers on to make up a wider offset then that would be dangerous but I've seen track/drift cars running 40mm hubcentric spacers just fine. I've also not a fan of the extended studs and straight through spacers either but that's my personal opinion

Obviously it changes your geometry setup when you make the track width of the car wider so it'll be best to get the whole suspension re-aligned and set up when you add spacers of any substantial width

The risk is only for the bearings.. they are abused alot..
I run 20mm straight trought spacers with 75mm studs.It's fine.(for me)Realigning is a must after widening the track as Lerch said.But the cornering is soo much better...

one friend have makes a gift to me , i will install it on a another hatchback,and i will use the hatchback with the oem spoiler for the drag race,and i will use the next hatchback with this spoiler for the track session.
1 hatchback for any situation

first test with the honda carbon spoiler,i will instal a quick remove system for the spoiler.
with spoiler for track usage
without spoiler for drag usage
