Hey there mates!

Sold my 1.5 a few months ago and got one V6 after merged 2 of them :D (only 2 exist in Portugal)

After doing all the mechanics, I missed the suspension because I thought that 84k km along 19 years of existence couldn't be that bad to shocks. I was wrong

Given this, I need to know which setup would you recommend for a budget of ~500EUR.

Now I have the original shocks plus APEX springs (-40mm) that are not suitable for 2.0V6 (I bought them when I had my 1.5).
These springs make the ride a little stiff!

Let me just say that I'm not thinking in coilovers because I had FK Highsports in my 1.5 and it was stiff like hell! :)

Thanks in advance! (oh, and pics..)

I have a set of standard, almost brand new, shocks with -40mm lowering springs. These came of a v6 so should fit your car perfectly. Can give you a pm for price if you are interested.

All standard shocks are the same on all ba's the standard springs from 1.5 to v6 are different . Tho aftermarket springs are the same I beleive. I have purchased aftermarket springs twice and they are for all engine types. All aftermarket springs -40mm or less will make your ride worse especily with low profile tyres.

Front standard v6 springs are stiffer as the engine is heavier than a 1.5 but the rear standard springs are the same.
Ive had v6 springs on a 1.5 temp for MOT and the only differance was height by about 10mm.

By the looks of the pic it looks like maybe a shock is worn out, hence the reason its sitting lower on one side.
Hope this helps. :D

Thanks for the quick answer Dale!

Anyway, I don't see any side of the car lower than the other.. It might be the picture tricking you!
The problem is only with the dead shocks. When I assemble them in the car I saw that they weren't doing any kind of strength. I had to pull them up on my own to fit the springs!

In what respects to lowering springs, eibach has really good solutions! The problem is that they only go 30mm low..

Which lowering setup would you recommend?

Fronts have done 10k rears only 3k. Not sure on the spring brand as they come of a donor. I do have some pictures of them if you like.
