Does anyone know if the Post-Ford doors have the wiring already in place for the door lights? I used to have them on my pre-ford and kinda miss them, want to retro fit some to my ZXi.

I'm 100% certain that pre-facelift doesn't have this in place. Not sure about the facelift models.

You could easily wire this yourself aswell, just tap the 12v off the wire that goes to the lights in the roof. (not sure how they are called in english)

Well don't know how much help this is but...

96 p reg so a bit mix an match between pre/post ford

The connecting block near the top right in pic, was/is not connected to anything.

That said, this V6 has no remote c locking and only locks from the pass side

On the post ford R reg v6, standard remote c locking works, again the key only works in the pass side door not the drivers :?

the post F has the same block connector plus a smaller one, again these arent attached

Both cars have these elec blocks, if this is not for the locking system, then may be for the door lights :dontknow:

As sneakz has mentioned, you can tap into the interior light, I've done this in the footwell so can help if needed :D

Hope this helps in some way

I don't think either of those blocks are for the puddle lights, they use a small two pin block I'm sure! !!!!

If you do want puddle lights on a post Ford, you'll have to route extra wiring from the interior lamp circuit through a couple of empty slots in the door block connectors.

You could route wires from the loom to the door under the door seals, but it looks untidy, my DTM mirror indicators are wired like this, have been for years, still looks bodgit and codgit though, must get round to doing it properly one day !!!!!!
