Some knob decided to hit my mazda (and drove off), and has dented the bonnet, and made the sides to push up. I only have 3rd party insurance (and it's already a bomb), so I need to get it replaced as cheap as possible. It hasn't damaged anything inside (thank god)

I found this on ebay, it looks like it'll fit my car, mines a 51 reg sport, what do you think?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MAZDA-323F-99 ... 3f131ffeb2

There's also brand new ones (and sprayed), but around £200

How hard is it to fit a new bonnet? Just wondering if it's something me and my dad could do, or would i need a garage to sort it out?

Thank you

Are you sure yours has the same front end as that - it looks like a pre-facelift, and I'd guess you have a 2 litre facelift sport :dontknow:

changing the bonnet over is easy, just a few bolts that secure it to the hinges, leave them "not quite tight" when you fit the new one, and then don't close it fully until you have it lined up :)

What a tit - it's not the same! I guess it'll have to be from a facelift one, so thats 2001 and after?

Excuse the state of it, too paranoid to take it through the car wash with holes in the side haha (and the wing mirror..... a new ones in the post)

Thank you for the advice, fingers crossed it'll go well
