Hi, I've got one question to you: why is the LPG socket fitted in the rear wing instead of the plastic bumper????

On rear bumper i have LPG socket "poland type" and i use this, but i have LPG socket in the rear wing and this is "netherland type" but this isn't plugged to gas bottle.

Oh, I have lpg socket in the same place in the bumper - it's barely visible isn't it? I never understood what's the point of drilling a hole in the metal instead of plastic. Anyway, your car looks realy good. I especially like the steering wheel!

hmm LPG on a 1.5. how much per litre (petrol) over there may i ask?

Apparently it's because plastic isn't strong enough so they need to use a metal area to mount it.

Simondo, are you joking? That surface doesn't have to be that strong. Most cars have lpg sockets in their bumpers.

Well, I don't imagine any bumper to be too weak for these sockets. Have you seen how those sockets look before installing? They don't require any surface harder than bumper plastic. Would be really interesting to read that information you once read. Also installing the lpg gas filling port into the rear wing requires the metal to be prepared properly preventing it to rust during the years of exploatation. I've seen a lot of older cars with rust around those filling ports.

In Netherland your LPG socket MUST be mounted in metal part, i don't understand it but it's right

Thank you for comments, my steering wheel is original steering wheel from Mazda 323F BA 11.1997-04.1998 years. In europe the car go to lifting and we have new dashboard, new steering wheel, new side mirrors etc.


1.5 with LPG question - the tank (bottle?) of gas has 45 litre capacity, and one tank (bottle?) is for ~300-330 kilometers in mixed mode (some in city, some on the express road)

Simondo, looks like you have different filling port standards. Yours looks a lot deeper.

I recently visited Poland and was very happy with the LPG prices there compared with Lithuania If I understood you right, your car takes more than 11-12l of LPG in mixed mode? That's a lot actually. I get 10 or less driving in the city only.

Facelifted version looks really good. Mine is 95', there are some differences. Are you saying that this "leather thing" on the steering wheel (sorry, don't know how to call it ) comes by default on facelifted versions? I want one!

The cover of airbag from steering wheel facelift version is from default facelift version And i have the case (?) for the steering wheel. It Costs 30zl in poland (one £ is ~4.5zl). Other 323F BA facelift version from my friend (this is original special edition)

The facelift included:
- side mirrors
- interior (doors, speedometer, dashboard, steering wheel etc.)
- third rear "Stop" light
- mazda emblems
- lock in the rear panel
- Z5-DE engine (small differences)
- KF-DE engine (normal has 144hp and lifted has 140hp)
- front lights are Koito or Tyc, facelifted version has Bosch
- another connector from electric antenna
- another seat belts

No, my car don't takes more than 11-12l of LPG in mixed mode. I almost always ride the express road and some kilometers in the city.

Today i bought used left rear light and made an appointment with car painter - someone crash my car back and I have rust in several places. The repair cost 2000zl, car will be ready in a week And i bought new beige alcantara seat covers

Wow, that's a lot. Hope it's worth it What will be done?

To painting: rear bumper, rear wheel arch, the lower part of the driver's door and part of the bonnet and front wheel arches have rust, remove the filler gas in the wheel arch and a few other minor things but this will be done with insurance "auto casco"

I change one bulb in my speedometer to new one.

grr..... the old woman in new ford Ka do scratch in my front bumper today....

That's not nice at all. Will the insure sort this out?

For the front bumper? Not, but for the rear crash the insurance give me 3200zl and repair cost is 2000zl - the 1200zl is for me
