We would to make this very clear right from the outset.. we cannot promise to help every www.club323f.com member, we have some criteria to be met and also some exclusions. If we cannot help you, we can only apologise. For the majority however, we should be competitive and be able to provide an excellent level of cover.
Apologies to post this again but I've had a PM today from a member who didn't think we were active on here any more.
That would be me :)

Just throwing in my 2 cents here.

I'm with sky insurance, all modifications declared, no NCB (2 years named driver discount), and I got my car club discount. Came up £2050 CHEAPER than the next competitor  It's a good thing I was sitting down when I got my quote...

For a 19 year old male, with a modified car and a 1.8l engine, it's not easy to find an insurer that doesn't laugh at you down the phone. Most companies wouldn't touch me - these guys got me a good deal!

Highly recommended for anyone with modifications, especially younger drivers!

I'm also looking at renewing my insurance soon, just had a very good quote from Sky.

Fully Comp with all mods covered and NCB protection. Very helpful and well informed on the phone.

Beat my renewal with Adrian Flux, so is good for oldies like me as well :evil4:

im 20 with 1 yrs no claims and 2 yrs as a named driver, my insurance is due for renewal in about 5 days and im currently with direct line. my premium is £1200! so i looked around and cheapest was somit like £2.3k! so im having to stick to direct line atm, if sky insurance could offer something cheaper ill have to give em a call. my main problem is im moving back to uni in a few weeks and would have to change my address to that one, which pushes my premium up another £200! cheers for the advice

Is that fully comp?

I'm TPFT, 19, no NCB (but 2 years named driver), 1.8 engine, modifications, and it was £2200 for the year (would have been slightly less but i wanted to pay monthly)

Give them a call :)

Renewing in Feb But I may give them a cheeky call and see what they can quote me... I'm very wary of insurance companies offering the cheapest car insurance.

Anyone ever had to make a claim through these guys?

I agree with you 100%, in fact I have just made that same point on another forum.

I can only answer from our perspective, it is very rare we receive any negative feedback about our claims handeling. If you look hard enough you may find some but the same would be the case for any UK insurer.

It is well worth giving us a call on 0208 3645500, it is hard to comment without knowing your full details.

It's also the fact that most insurance companies say the same thing.

I will definately be giving you a try, but I do my research so you better be ready for me ;)

when i rang, my quote was £1300 TPFT which is very reasonable in comparison with other insurance companies when only offering 1 years NCB. obv i stayed with direct line as it was cheaper but defo something to think about in the future

I'm looking to add my other half to my insurance so that she can drive my car. She's a provisional licence holder. Are Sky going to shaft me for this? Does anyone know?

When i added my wife to the insurance with a provisional Simon my premium stayed exact same. Then when she passed her test and i changed the insurance so she was a full driver it went from 450 per month to 480. But that was with Quinn insurance.

I would but I'm at work. And I don't have all my details to hand.

Cheers for that. Steve. I hope my insurer is the same!

Hi,

apologies but (via our car club scheme) we need all drivers to have 2 years driving experience.

Apologies also for the delay in replying (holidays and JAE).

Yeah I was on the IMOC stand very close.. it was a weekend off for me, I was there as an enthusiast so was trying to avoid the dreaded insurance word all weekend

I did wander over, chatted to one chap.. couldn't spot any 323's with a Sky sticker though.. am I going blind?

Hi,

yes indeed, we have a few options available, we can usually 'mirror' NCB over to the second car.

When you are ready to go through the details, feel free to PM me brief requirements and your contact details and I will arrange a call back?

Thanks

Thanks Ollie

when you say mirror no claims, you will put my no claims on both cars (i have 6 years protected no claims); as this is the problem we have with our current insurance company - they will keep the no claims on 1 car but for the other car it is back to 0 no claims which makes the premium very pricy!

Thanks Ollie

when you say mirror no claims, you will put my no claims on both cars (i have 6 years protected no claims); as this is the problem we have with our current insurance company - they will keep the no claims on 1 car but for the other car it is back to 0 no claims which makes the premium very pricy!
Hi,

NCB can only be used on one car at a time. When 'mirroring' the NCB, we would give you a discount similar to what you would get if you had the NCB free to use on the second car but we would start you again at 0 years. The 'mirrored' polocy would then accrue it's own NCB but it would start at 0 years. The NCB on the primary vehicle would not be effected.

It is hard to explain , I hope that makes sense?

Thanks

Ollie

single male ages 20, 2 years no claims but been banned for driving for a week as 6 points in my first 2 years of driving,
one accident,
i feel sorry for the guy on the fone, who said "theres nothing i can do mate, its coming up as SILLY money, ive even asked my main underwriter and theres nothing we can do"

so for him not to even say the price, is quiet bad?

If you asked him to give you the price anyway, he would have, but if an insurer says it's not worth it due to the cost (bare in mind, these companies are there to get your money), it was probably insane

Do what I did - PM ollie and say "you dawg, hook me up with some steeeekers" or, more correctly, "Hey Ollie, Hows things? Just had an idea - I've had great service and a great quote from you guys, far better than anywhere else - I've also got a spot on my rear window if you have any stickers/decals? Free advertising..."

Failing that Marshy, I'm sure I've still got a spare window sticker
