anyone got any idea's what alarm to get? eg Toad ai606? Cliiford? ect,, noone of those £25.00 from ebay please hheehe

Stay away from cliffords mate, they are unreliable, we used to fit them to the mx5's and had no end of complaints! I would go with laserline or cobra in my opinion.

I had a top of the range toad and had no problems with it. I would take sanj's advice on cliffords as i always hear people moaning and complaining about them going nipples north.

Toads are good, ihad a laserline on my golf which i fitted, was a simple fit and was trouble free and i picked it up for 50 quid!!!

Dunno really mate, the alarm place my company use charge about 100quid trade to fit it, we supply the alarm. i wouldnt pay more than 100 quid for the alarm itself though, look on ebay you might come across something, i might have a cobra still kicking about at work somewhere, will pm u if i do.

cool.. as i got a quote at £250 fitted at incarelectronix which is trade price hmmmmm.... might as well check ebay and she whats happening there

Yeah Ai606 is what i had. Looking at prices on ebay, £100 is a good price for fitting. Obviously depends what features you have (total closure, remote start, boot release)

I'm very happy with my Falcon. It's definately one of the best value options if you want a pager alarm (sub £100 on eBay).

I think you MAY be a bit wrong there chap, mines been fine for years, as have my mates

I'm really surprised you've had issues with MX5s too, since the Cliffords are microwave as opposed to ultrasonic and therefore perfect for convertibles You may have been having an issue with where the reciever goes, it can cause issues if not mounted right

I have one of these and they are excellent, although teaching the central locking is a bit hard

Clifford are one of the best car alarms, If you set them up correctly ! We used to import the US clifford alarms which are much more advanced than the UK models. Much cheaper too. Look at the MATRIX 12.5 X ,do a search in the search engine and you will find a supplier.
Just remember that Cobra and Clifford use the same technology.

i have a clifford, no problems so far.... had it for about 2 years now i think
