Just got my 323, and liking it a lot. But, I have a slight central door locking problem. If I lock/unlock the doors from the driver's side, they all lock other than the passenger front. If I lock/unlock them from the passenger side, they all lock/unlock no probs. I've had the door panel off but can see nothing obvious. Is there a solenoid in the door that controls this ? If I hold the passenger door open and lock it, all the other doors lock and unlock very quickly, but the passenger one stays locked. hmmmm............

Anyone had a similar problem ?

Not sure on the locking problem, with the passenger door - sounds like its not receiving the signal to lock but will send a signal ok. There is probably a control box somewhere that controls the central locking. It was under the drivers seat on my Honda but not sure on the 323.
The doors won't lock if one is open and will unlock straight away as yours does.

cheers[/quote]I have the exact same problem i brought my car down to the mazda main dealers nd they said the central locking motor is fine the wasters couldnt figure it out still dont know whats wrong with it.....

any ideas what mazdaman means here ?:

if its omly o/s door have trim off and check the small cap on back of key lock they are the bits that make it work may need replacing

I pressume he means if its only the front passenger door that does not work at the same time as the rest of the doors. Which is the problem im having..
