They could just be wedged in or rusted tight....

I had to get a hammer and pin to remove mine...

hammer them out but dont hit ur discs coz u dont want them to fall apart and make sure u put some copper slip on the backs of the pads and make sure everything is clean before reasembly.

yeah, first time i had to do it, i used a small screwdriver as a drift to get them out, when you put it all back together tho, remember to put some copperslip on the rods so they come out easy next time, also, put some on the BACK of the pads and anti squeal pads, helps hold it all together on assembly and eases removal for next time.

remember to open the master cylinder too, as you cant get the pistons back in if you don't, i'd also stick a rag or some tissue round the master cylinder cos it'll overflow as you push the cylinder back in, not good as brake fluid is very corrosive!!!

I managed to take it off...

I had to take the whole caliper off and smacked it with a hammer..

More difficulties ... On the caliper..theres to bolts that go onto the wheel hub...They're designed to move to allow the brakes to compress..One of them has siezed...Going to experiment with WD40 otherwise might pay a visit to the scrappy

Hols on chap, thats a design fault that is, apparently you can buy the redesigned lower slider bolt for about £40 from Mazda, i havn't because i think they should just fit it out of curtousy, its their fault after all.

what i do is get a g-clamp and and wind up pushing the slider back in, careful of the dust boot tho, you could try some copperslip in side that to prevent it seizing up too much in future
