No fish here, just a chip(in my windscreen). Ive got a small 1/4'' star chip in my screen,it aint covered under insurance. Can anyone give me an idea of the price of the repair?I'm pretty sure it can be UV bonded rather than whole replacement. I did however see a kit in Halfords for UV resin Diy style.i might be tempted if the professionals are too costly?? Anyone???

mate - goto the pro's...

I had a similar chip done on my old car and you couldnt even see a trace... They specialise in chips - rather than cracks, and although a crack when they repair it you will be able to see, it will be perfectly safe.

Chips and those 'spider web' style cracks they can repair as if it was never there.

I think i used autoglass - and i was dead chuffed!

how much did you pay mate?

Yeah, how much did it set you back? Cos its sittin on the windscreen laughin at me,i konw its havin a great oul laugh everytime i get in the car....!!!:D

Its not usually much, £25 ish depending on where you go (obviously).

Luckily for me my mate works for RAC windscreens so its done as a favour. In the past ive had windscreens out of a car (just a chip) and put in mine with the chip sorted, for nowt. Mates dont you love em

yeah i must pick me up a few ones with usefull professions, most of mine are pretty useless,(not to get back to them)....

ye - its only about 25-35 quid... depends on the size of the cracks/chips...

Deffo worth doing tho - as it will prevent the cracks from growing.
