Got mine fitted on the side as shown. Wipes a lot of passenger side but not a lot of drivers side, was thinking if i put the linkage to the wiper motor the other way up and then put wiper on drivers side would this then make it wipe more on drivers and less on passenger? Thought I'd ask first coz didn't wanna strip car again!

Right well, basically, mine sweeps a full 180 degrees, looks like you have a BG linkage there, i'm sure they only sweep 120 degrees or so, I'd have a word with Nick chap if I were you ;)

Would it not have anything to do with the position of the linkage to the wiper motor? Does it need to be pointing down at a vertical 90 deg?

No, the BA linkage is designed to sweep 180 degress, and will always do so, regardless of where the linkage is positioned.

For example, with the BA, you have a choice of 3 rest positions for the blade, flat on the drivers side, flat on the passenger side or vertical, where it sits depends on how you position the linkage on the motor shaft, but it will always do a 180 sweep.

Mmm but could this have been an easy mistake to make as the arm fits in ok! It'll be a pain in a**e to put old wipers back on then eventually put new one back in. Dya reckon he'd send me the right part first then I'll send him the wrong one back?

Right I have a word with him. Sounds like you have the larger drive crank on yours, he hasn't put those in the normal kit coz if you don't get it right things go tits up! As I have had a play with it and not managed to get any more sweep out of it he is sending me the larger drive crank so I can swap it over so hopefully be able to have the larger sweep like you!:D

Hmmmm, not sure I'm happy that other folk aren't getting the same as me, as I said that was the one members would prefer :?

He's covering his own back, if he puts the bigger one in and some people not as experienced try fitting it they could have a nightmare and end up quote "with wipers all over their bonnet and scratchin paint etc". So I see what he was sayin!

For Chuffs sake! Looks to me like I have the smaller arm too! Comparing it to the pics of your andy, it is the bar whith the twist in it. It is the distance between the bolt and the twist which is larger on yours. I am so not happy!

Its all been sorted. Basically, the link which attaches the wiper motor to the wiper arm is swapped out for a slightly elongated version. This adds 10 degrees. I will add pictures when it is done :)
