Yep you forgot the link

But for just over a grand, if you found a GTX or GTR breaker in the UK, you could swap the engine out, do magic with the wiring looms, swap the ecu and have a stronger engine with more power

Spending £1000 on an NA engine to fit a turbo seems silly, when you will go from 115bhp to what, about 150? Pure guesses here.
Spending £1000 fitting a purpose built turbo engine seems more sensible, getting you 180bhp or 210bhp right at the start...I think that's the figures for the GTX and GTR anyway.
On top of that, I've read a LOT of bad press about "cheap-ass" ebay turbo kits - they're generic, not designed for any car in particular, so I'm 95% sure you will have trouble with it

Shame really otherwise it would be an easy power mod

To fit it to a 1.5, you would need a custom exhaust manifold and downpipe, probably a smaller turbo to be honest, and I have a feeling it would just shag the internals of the engine, I've read they're pretty weak in a 1.5
