BPT/ BPD / KL-ZE / KF-ZE importers

Below is a list of JDM importers. They are mostly from the states and all parts are imported from Japan.

I noticed that a couple of days ago. It's just the 2.5l KLZE (approx 200bhp)

One price is for the actual engine and the other is for them to fit it for you

how much is it?

what engine has more power out of all of the conversions?

as standard? tuned on the orignial parts? or an all in all total rebuild?

on original parts, the GT-R, no doubt about it!

what would be the easiest conversion to do?

i want more power, but the BPT engine is expensive, especially with the engine going through customs.

Depends what engine you have already and how old your car is.

The easiest conversion, I imagine (hope!) is the 323F BG 1.8 swap, but you'll gain between 3 and 8ish bhp

After that, I guess it's the BPT and after that, I guess it doesn't matter which one, because you'd have to change loads of things (brakes, g'box, wheels, ancillaries) but at least the engine mounts would be standard

.

The BA's 1.8 is capable of quite a bit (the Jap MX-5 racers run upto 270bhp normally aspirated). You could possibly get 180bhp out of it for a couple £K.

Mind you, after Shaggy's car I think that a GTR engine would be the one!! :badgrin:

Anyone heard of http://www.flashoptions.com are they a firm you can trust or someone bought engines from them or heard something??? I must admit those engine are a bit to cheap... My mechanic thinking doing swap for his 626 GT

ok talked to them engines alone are not tested only complete clips are tested... so its like lotto ordering only engine.

Yep! One of our Dutch members has put one in! Runs beautifuly according to him! (no shit :drunken:

You'll get around 190bhp!

Recently one of our club member has announced to try to squeeze a 2.5 KL engine in his BG! That wi'll be one sick puppy! :drunken:

You do not need an other ECu because a KL-ZE ECu is made for an other air flow sensor and wire harness
You need a fuel regulator to increase the fuel presure so it will run not lean.

list you will need
- KL-ZE engine
- clutch (stock clutch will slip in a year)
- motormount filler. (with a new clutch the engine will shake more so stiffer motor mounts)
- new timing belt (engine is out now so change it)

you can use stock
- gear box
- exhaust system
- wires

So it is a very easy swap.

Just for anyone who may want to know, I've asked these sites how much shipping to the UK would be.

TotalJDM: Cost from $450 to $750 depends where in UK

JDM Online: $600 (USD)

naganojapanese have quoted: $500 (USD)

flashoptions: $580

Remember though, that Customs will no doubt charge VAT or Import Tax on the engine.

There is another guy in the Netherlands who imports engines (JDM engines)

His name is Bastian.
