Hi there dudes.....
As u may know (and if u don't, I tell you), I swapped my old 200k km engine with a new 15k miles engine, and it costed me less than 400€ to fully swap+buying the engine.

Question is......... is there any way to remove the annoying 6500rpm limiter to go above to a decent 7500 rpm or more?
I know it's not safe, redline is there for a reason, and when I drive I don't go past 5500 rpm, but I'd love to rev it at least once or twice and listen to that nice VROOOMMMM going over the stock rpm redline.

Well, i tried, but didn't get it going..
I'll search for the info about that and will give it to you, but that will be when i got chance to get to my PC..
I wanted to be able to hit 100km/h without having to change from second to third gear..
Because the rev limiter on second gear is right at 97km/h..

All right dude. I've seen a video of a guy who was pressing a button to disconnect some cable I suposse...

EDIT: I've found the thread where you asked: https://www.club323f.com/forum/viewtopi ... 54&t=58974
And I found the website where they sell the quartz: https://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/XQ8.867239M.html but damn, I'd have to open the ECU and that maybe screws it up with me touching around...

A few years back:

alot of reading, but helps understand the damn thing..
I didn't had the guts to do it back then, now you got me thinking again..
You know, if you f*** up your ECU, you have to change not only it, but the IMMo system, and keys, keylock too..
Not to mention engine blow up..

Edit:
same thing here

Last link, looks helpful.
What you said, is what I'm thinking, and considering the ECU is held with rivets, you can even screw it up by trying to drill them out, plus, idk how they put them there, because my rivet gun doesn't put them like that.

Mazda did it wrong here, by not letting us tweak the ECU.
