I've been thinking about a shortshifter for a while for my 1.5 and don't want to pay for an expensive one and found this one on ebay

A friend of mine had got one and said it was crap and it eventually broke but then I've also been told by someone else that it's good. I don't know what to think and if it's even worth installing a shortshifter.

I have an "ebay" shortshifter and I know another club member who has one, and we both think they're crap.

He's replaced his with a TWM one (second hand, sadly they don't make them any more), and I'd like to replace mine, or go back to a stock gearshift.

I've found gear change is far easier with a very light shift knob, though - I'm using a cheap aluminium one from eBay. It looks good and weighs nothing. It did need an adapter ring, but that came with it.

Yea so I thought. I do know somebody I think who I can get a TWM one off of but I don't know if it's worth it in the long run, especially with the aging gearbox.
