Hello, a new Mazda 323F BA owner here.
I have a issue with the central lock on the car. It does not seem to work, or use a lot of time before kicking in.
When i lock the driver's side door, the driver's side door is locked, but the rest are open.
The weird thing is that the car locked itself after a hour or two.

I checked the room fuse, it is good.
I heard it might be vacuum powered is this true? And does someone know the location of the central lock, and a wiring diagram for it?

Mvh,
Xoon.

Just moved this into the correct forum for you :thumbleft:

The central locking on a BA is not vacuum operated, it's entirely electronic. I believe it also has it's own separate fuse too (I could be wrong though, it's been a while since I looked at a BA fusebox). Check the fuses in the driver's footwell, aswell as in the enginebay.

You have a solenoid in each door, and a control module in the passenger footwell (green plastic thing, behind the kick panel in front of the door).

Hey,
Thanks for the help!
Checked the fuse, it was good, then tried locking with with the passenger door. It locked all doors, including the drivers side. I think I might be one of the switches on the drivers side or a wire. The drivers side actually unlocks all doors, sometimes.

I managed to find the problem.
Passenger side door locks and unlocks all doors.
Driver's side door only locks and unlocks the driver's side door. Sometimes it opens all doors and rarely locks all doors.

So I suspect it is a broken switch or wire. When the weather is not freezing my ass off I will open up the door and fix it.

Thanks for the help :)
