Now this may have been asked before, but has anyone tried fitting mx-5 seats into a BA? Will the rails even fit/be compatible? I'm drawing blanks with a decent set of mx-3 seats.

I think you'll have more luck with mx3 seats looking at a breaker. If you're after the leather or suede type ones, ill wish you luck and bid you farewell

I doubt the mx5 seat would fit as stock, seems only the mx3 ones match as far as I can find out. Apparently even the xedos seats are too wide despite the floor plan of the ba being based on the xedos, though that may have been the xedos 9's leather seats....

oops.....errr yeah Jon you are right, its seats im after.
as for the seats im even open to the cloth variety if they suit the car, i have been trying for ages amd been to see a few breakers in the hope of a set of mx-3 seats.
I was unsure/doubted the mx-5 seats would fit, but worth the ask as there are a few breakers near to me.

Unfortunately I think given the age if these cars now, mx3 alike, trying to find good condition seats is getting harder. The outside bolster on my driver seat has two rips in it simply from wear and tear, and I can only think I'm going to have to get the seat recovered as leather seats so rarely come up let alone in good condition.

People have gotten RX8 seats to fit so they must know how to adapt the brackets, might be worth a shot?

mx5 seats are too narrow. I have a spare set of mx5 seats and a spare set of 323f seats and the 323f ones have their rails spaced further apart. shame. You could make adaptor plates though. Would only need some steel sheet and some nuts and bolts.

i have mx3 seats in 323f BA... and fits perfect, no need for mods. but mx5 seats need some changes to fit into a BA.
