anything that will light your needles will also light up the rest of the gauges so you'll never be able to light them up seperately. can you post a pic of the ones you used?

Bought some of those in red. they light up the needles but the illumination is pale, almost absent. I need to light up the needles and the digital mileage! The mechanic told me that it would be better if i installed non led bulbs.

Sadly this won't work, I recently got hold of a spare set of dials and shone a light through each hole indivdually, its pretty much one for the left, one for the middle and one from the right, puts the kybosh right on my plan

I like all the soldering there because it looks good and I can't do it which is why I'll be using LED 501s with 0.5-1.0 watt SMTs

Andy this can be done. You have to use a white bulbs and put transparent vinyl (colour you chose) round then end of the neddle (the round bit ) and the needle lights up that colour. Ill get pics up tomorrow
