Great to see you at Hughie's meet at the weekend, thought I would add a few more pics to my thread ;)

Had a wonderful day out, meeting some great people and putting names to faces,
came home glowing red from the sun :sunny:

Yesterday my F passed her MOT, no problems (Y)

When I came out to tuck her away in her garage, one of our cats was growling and hissing at the car door,
she was looking at her reflection.................picked her up before she decided to swipe her rival :cat: :cat:

Fitted a new set of Magnecor 8mm leads and Iridium spark plugs last night :D
Very pleased with the quality and fit of the new leads,
as well as the blue colour which suits the engine bay

After work today I started getting the F ready for JAE. 8)
Wheels off, cleaned inside and outer faces, then waxed, tyres and arches dressed.
While the car was jacked up I cleaned up and polished the exhaust pipes and back box
Then tried out some different camera shots, adjusting the white balance, ISO and with flash.

Still have to work on the bodywork, interior etc............ but good to have made a start. :D

we can't get enough of this car
a true inspiration for all of us

I remember my VIN sticker came damaged too from the paint shop
by the way your suspension setup is Bilstein and H&R

how much lowering do those springs gave you? -30mm? -40mm?
thank you

Cheers for the comments, :D
Not exactly sure on how much lower the car is on the springs, probably about 20 - 30 mm.
I'm pleased with the ride quality and height, and still has reasonable clearance. :thumbright:

Time for my next update.
The arrival of cold weather and road salt a few weeks ago prompted me to tackle the sills on my F.
When I got her back from being "restored" I found that the brand new sills were barely painted :angry4:
They had not bothered to raise the F and paint under the sills :banghead: they were just blown across:

Image

There was little or no real protection,
I have been planning the best way to sort it out, gave the F a good clean and dry, raised, covered her and masked the floor etc.

Image

Then took a few evenings to build up 3 layers of paint and 3 layers of lacquer, very pleased with the results:

Image

I removed the masking and covers and gave the rest of the paint a good deep clean with paint cleaner, compounded where needed and then finished with ultimate wax:

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Still a few jobs to be done until I'm happy,
putting right the lack of care taken over my pride and joy while she was away.

I have been trying not to be too precious with my F, and really enjoying driving her again :D
Very pleased with the new Yoko tyres, scrubbed in now and they are great in both wet and dry conditions. (Y)

Did take time over the Easter break to clean, polish and wax.
