Have had a wonderful birthday and day off today, did get some more Lego

and Liz bought these for my garage floor



So I spent a few hours laying them this afternoon:



a quick reflection before moving the F back inside:



nearly finished, just need to cut the last set of tiles to fit along the top edge:



Really pleased with how they went down, and how they look.

I will take some more pics when the F is cleaned up properly

I also had my new Goodridge braided brake lines fitted this week, not noticed a huge difference yet,
probably need a good spirited drive

The F went to my mechanic on her spare ZXi wheels, gave me a chance to wash my main set.
As well as repair some chips and re-wax them inside and out.

Have come up nicely, will need to strip them back again to remove some more alloy corrosion.

had almost forgotten how wonderful the V6 sounds echoing round

I probably won't fit the bonnet protector, personally feel that it spoils the line of the bonnet into the front bumper
as well as possible damage to the bonnet from the metal clips that fix the protector in place

I'm just happy to have a rare part in my garage.

Have just bought my ticket for JAE this year

thought I had better start cleaning..........................................

Removed the washer jets to sort out some fine scratches in the bonnet,
paint cleaned, ultimate compound with the DA, then polished and waxed.
Came out well:



cleaned a build up of wax in the jets and re-waxed the covers before replacing:





Spotted this last one with the jet looking like an Owl



Still thinking about having the jets removed and smoothed over when the bonnet is repainted

I can't believe how clean you BA is, the paintwork is like glass

I bet that is one if not the cleanest BA in the country

Have wanted to tackle the buIld up of sticky residue on the rear tailgate hinges for a while now
finally got round to it a couple of evenings ago.

After about an hour with Megs bug and tar remover, toothbrushes, cotton wool buds, detailing swabs and microfibre cloths.
The hinges and surrounding areas were then treated to a coat of wax.
Still a little way to go, but much improved:
