Painting aluminuim mesh

I bought some of that universal bumper mesh from my local motor factors for the bumper recess on my BA, but unfortunatley it is silver and I want to paint it black

Anyone have any tips on what primer to use, and if I need to do anything to 'prep' the mesh

I could have bought the already black stuff from Halfrauds, however this was less than a third of the price

I already have a tin of satin black as I plan to spray the bumper recess too and fit a early vented Laguna splitter if I can find one :roll:

etching primer i would have said first, then the grey stuff then the paint, n possibly clear coat on top, otherwise it will peel like a mofo..

etch primer, then the black...it'll still chip though...

The only thing with PlastiDip is its quite expensive. I can imagine spraying mesh you'll waste a fair bit though.
