I asked about the possibility of this some time ago and was laughed at :( but now who's laughing. Ha ha ha. Anyway enough of that. If someone is out there with the mechanical know how to install this piece of wonderous technology I will pay to have it done to my motor.

Not sure, but that engine bay looks wider than ours? I'd love to see it in action though and what gains there'd be...

Not had chance to read it yet as I am at work. Cant find any direct links to the kit but it looks reasonable to knock up.

Apparently the only thing holding most S/C Mazda V6's back was the bearings used for the transfer shaft as they would overheat and melt when going over 4k.

Look for the charged MX-3 V6 on Youtube. 2.5 KLDE I think and it goes like stink.

Definitely enough room for a charger under the 323f bonnet. My mates just put one on his 1310cc Mini .

when you relocate the battery and the fusebox + coolant tank there definatly will be enough room for that hairblower :D

I saw that quite a while ago. The problem would be getting it into the BA engine bay .... I don't know the dimensions, so you never know ;)

You'd need a different air intake!

Looks like you would have to move the, battery and waterbottle? Intake could go in the wing? Or maybe not because all V6s have air con?

M45 Eaton on my mates Mini. 180BHP Using a suck through rather than blow through fuelling.

It will easily fit an F engine bay with maximum length including pulley of 37cm. The F has around 49cm from Dizzy. Change the snout for one of these and its nearer the 27cm at smallest spec! Leaving loads of room!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/02-05-1- ... ccessories

Height is 12.5cm and width is 18cm. So all dimensions easily within spec.

Air intake would run to the inner wing as per pictures and the charge would go through a short pipe to the t.b. with the all important blow off valve attached.

Fuelling would be sorted with the boost adjustable FPR but you will need a S-AFC to fine tune and also over-rule the o2 sensors.

Probably get away with leaving the battery where it is as there should be ample room and just move the header tank.

Only thing that you cant easily adjust and work out is the drive pulley to s/c pulley ratio to get the right boost levels.

Ditch the A/C

£150 for charger

Small minded-ness see Rob (not you by the way, lol), anything is achievable!

You'd be best of approaching a tuning company, or motorsports garage or something like that though man, even if someone you knew had the mechanical know how, you'd have alot of niggles that would need to be sorted throughout I reckon, plus you'd need a re-mappable ECU which would need mapping.

But go for it man....I wanna see a noble green BA running a supercharged engine screamin around Castle Combe next year!!!!

I don't think so, how are you going to get the pully spinning? the blets are on the wrong side on a 1.5, believe me, I looked into this 3 years ago, even offered up the Mini charger, it won;t fit, there's NOT enough room, even if there were, you've still got to drive it somehow and the only thing I could come up with was a shaft across the front of the engine!

There is a solution, but I'm still working on it ;)

The Probe is wider than the F though, I'd love to see it work, I've been thinking about charging my F for several years, but I just think the Mini charger is too big for an F.

What I want is a small charger, preferably with an electronic clutch that can be mounted where the aircon pump would go on a custom billet bracket. I'd also add a fifth injector and an Aquamist controller to make it all work :D

I've a couple of chargers in mind but one is over £2500 and the other is rare as rocking horse poo :P

It won't fit, the miller is quite large...

Not quite true. The only difference size wise is the rear head is designed slightly differently to fit the surcharger between the v. This fouls the brake servo but you could use a remote brake servo kit and that should give you enough space

It's not the position of the rear head that is different, it is pretty much the same head, the difference is the cam pulley, instead of being driven from the intake cam it is driven off the exhaust cam which makes the engine look HUGE, this however WILL foul our RHD master cylinder and servo arrangement, if you had a LHD car however. . . .
