Turbo kit for 2.5l v6 KLZE (1998)

As topic says, any oneknow where I can get one?

I have seen some for sale but in america on GLOBAL EBAY but they dont include bigger injectors or computer but still fairly cheap as think delivered was about 600 to 700 pounds for 300+hp

This one comes with the exhaust manifolds as well

well with this kit you would have to make a exhaust manifold as it doesnt have one and I dont think you would be able to get 700.. personally I doubt you would be able to go over 0.5boost without having to drop the compression ratio of the engine and putting studs in instead of headbolts. i think you would be able to get about 300hp on the limit without changing compression

Stock rods can only handle 240 bhp , so your rods will need changing lightened and balanced units * 6 plus pistons lower comp 9:1 . Your looking at 1500 dollars for those. Also 0.5 over bore and new rings. 300 quid. Also head mods to interprep springs and keepers so you don't drop a valve on your new pistons another 200. That's before you get bigger fuel pump and injectors megasquirt and then turbo kit. Try 3000 grand :oops:

I'm sure stock rods can handle more than 240bhp, there are guys in america running 15psi on stock internals, 7/8 psi is good for 230 bhp ish

well I have read the probe guys in america reckon standard bottom end (con-rods, big ends, crankshaft) will take over 400hp

IF it is all rebuilt lightened and balanced then i would agree but a 120k engine with a bolt on kit.. then no..

400 bhp with stock is absolute balls or they are very lucky, Interprep who raced these engines in IMSA motors say stock pistons will only handle 240 bhp they did the testing. If you want to gamble and thro a ton of money building a good engine then throw a piston Good luck to you. Build it stong no worries

my theory is if i were looking to run 300hp.. id have internals that could run 500...
if i wanted to run 500hp id have internals that could take 800hp..
because no matter when it comes to boost... youll end up going higher than you said you wanted

The crank can take 900 plus bhp but nothing else. They have also used millenia s rods out of a miller engine these are rated to 280 bhp. But to run 400 horses on stock is dreaming !

What.. stock GTX internals? 300 will become an issue... On stock N/a internals... well not higher then 300 that's for sure!

But after 350 you can start worrying more about the gearbox then the engine...

And then the diff...

And then the axles...

If you want to know limits get onto probetalk. I'm running 281bhp on a scrapyard klde with no issues. S rods are proven to take over 500whp, alot more than your gearbox will put up with. Take a look at mx3 turbo 342whp on standard KL on YouTube. There's a standard klze was boosted to over 300 on YouTube somewhere too.

Yes and also the same guy dropped a piston he has a video on that too !! Build it good and no issues . Or buy one to thrash then buy another :P :roll:

Haha maybe not talking about the same person then! Andy aka hppwdn aka goldmember (the car) also ran 370whp on a KLG4 (compression 9.5:1- in between DE and ZE). Which he ran 11s with.. Then came the S rods and JE pistons which are happily holding 500whp, which is great for a $200 set of rods. From what I've read theres over double the gearboxes exploded due to power than engines! I'd say unless you like replacing gearboxes or can afford a PAR gear set don't shoot for much over 300bhp, which tends to be ok for a good tune with stock rods. Just trying to get more people boosted in this country

Doesn't have to cost that much for a decent improvement.
