I got my two rear arches done from a bodyshop for £80 in total

hmmm , i dont know how is it possible , i'v been quoted for 200 a side... WTH.
Can anyone advise me what to do, is not that bad i think just have some bubble paint. I cant spend 400 £ for that. Can i repair it my self some how?
Please need some guide what to use and where to start from?

£200 per side, if they are cutting off the old panel, welding on a new one, and painting it, is an absolute bargain

If they are grinding the old panel, treating the rust, filling to regain the shape, and painting...that's a tad expensive, but not too bad

If you want to have a go yourself, try the above, grind away the rust, apply some good treatment (bilthamber or similar) and then fill it and sand it. Then paint it...job's a good 'un

not a new panels, just for scrape, fill and repaint.
and the guys said thats will come out after time. ( they just pissed on their work in my opinion ).
well I give it a try, if something go wrong just will buy arches and go to body shop.

I tried to get the rear arch panels through Hadrian as per the link but they seem to be out of stock.

I found some more rear arches for the 98-01 model 323 at Cleveland Panels but I'm not sure if these rear arches are interchangeable and able to be fitted on my 2002 BJ Sport!?
Will the rear arches for the 98-01, 323 be able to be welded into a 2002 BJ Sport? I'd be really grateful for the advice before I purchase.

I cannot say 100%, but I see no reason why they wouldn't fit - and if you only need to cut away the section around the arch, it should be fine

I'm thinking of getting these panels but unsure if they'll fit my 03 BJ sport, also looking at replacing both front wings while i'm at it. Does anyone know if these panels and the wings will fit my rusty-ass bj?

im struggling to find a supplier of rear arch panels, and i believe to re-attach the side skirts their are pre made arches that have clip holes cut in for sport model only

Just been talking to my paint mixing chemist mate. Apparently they are releasing a new product, this will be an etching primer which cold galvanises and has a rust converter chemical thing in there too. Cold galvanises have been made in the past but they weren’t very good for painting over, apparently this one is good for painting.

He is going to get me some for doing my sills, I will let you know how it goes, and where you will be able to get it from.

Please remember that this has not been out on the market before, it IS a brand new product.

New owner of my first BJ and new forum member here. As many before me and many to come, I too have rusted arches.

I am wondering if anybody has an updated link for these panels as I don't quite fancy the £200 a side I have been quoted so far.

They are for earlier model but shouldn't be much difference.

There isn't any difference between prefacelift and facelift rear wheel arches. The front wings are different though.

That's alright I knew that much.

i only have a patch about an inch square think ill be sticking to rust tratment until it gets really bad, dont like the sound of forking out that kinda £ yet
