I did some research Howie. Those bracket covers won't fit in the late '97 BAs. They're specifically intended for cars registered in early to mid '97. I'll do you a favour and take them off your hands ;)

You are really just too generous Mark

I don't think they would fit on an MX5 either :evil4:

Will put up some more pics when fitted this weekend. :D :D :D

:thumbright: looks very nice, Have you noticed any handle difference?

Also I notice...no green mould around the boot channels and hinges... something wrong with your car :evil4:

Cheers for the comments :D

I bought my type R rear brace from RHRH, for sale on here a few months ago.
They are a fairly rare item I think. 8)

Gave my F a good clean, polish and wax over the last few days, ready for the SW meet here on the farm today:D

Found some more reflective shots: ;)

Had a great meet today, meal and run up Zig Zag hill.

The new rear strut brace does seem to have helped with the hard cornering, the car feels more planted. :D

Thanks for a great meet today guys :occasion5:

I've been checking through my Mazda related paperwork, and spotted that today is the anniversary of when my F was 1st registered.

1.8.1997 :occasion4:

In addition to this milestone, I have also been the proud owner of my ZXi for 10 years now too.

In Sept 2000, after checking insurance quotes, loans etc for my chosen model of car, I test drove a white and silver ZXi in Yeovil.
Then popped up to Bath to view a lower mileage ZXi, for me there was no contest after seeing my baby in Noble Green. :love10:

When I bought my F she had only 23,987 miles on the clock.
I was the 3rd owner. the previous one only kept her a few months before trading her in for an MX5.
Since my recent trip to Debz, for her meet, I have just clocked up 80,000 miles on her, (see she does get driven! :p )

I thought it would be interesting to look at some pics from 2000, and compare them with how my F is looking today. :thumbright:

You can really see the difference that joining this great club has had on me and my F.
My cleaning and detailing techniques have developed as well as better photography skills:

These last side-on comparison pics show the difference between having the sun on the panels for colour and behind for better reflections:

A couple more recent shots:

and at Debz on Monday:

Thanks for wading through all my ramblings,
and thanks for all the support, advice and inspiration that has been given to me by this great club

Must add finally that shortly after buying my F I met Liz, my wonderful wife.
Sept 2000 was a great year for me. :love5:
