surely the renesis engine is a 1.3, not a 2.6???

i have the rx8 as well as the Mx5 id never get rid of max!
the rx8 is classed as a 2.6 because it has 2 rotors which are 1.3 each.
Mr insurance certainly says its a 2.6..... and so does fuel consumption at 17.8 mpg :?
its a great fun motor and has uber powahs, i really do enjoy it but thinking i probably wont have it for too long.... purely on the idea that its cheaper to run and insure scooby, evo, honda type r, etc.
ill see how it goes lol gota take it on track atleast once.
jhp.

keep an eye on the oil level as you'll find it uses quite alot due it keeping the rotary tips lubbed :)

the RX7 had the 13B twin rotor motor too...same thing, only the renesis is side ported etc - each ones is 650cc ;) Classed as an equivalent to 2.6 maybe, but you can get cheap tax on the old ones

Not cheap enough to counter the mental petrol costs :)

Sadly it looks like I might be the next one to post my own topic in this forum. That will be a sad day. But then again, I'm not a legend so I don't count :p
