Why dont you just buy a new V6 323F? or is there a reason you for not getting a new car?

I know the 1.5's and 1.8's had minor revisions in the early years, however I think the UK V6 engines are all the same????

if you have a look in a 'J' reg MX3 you'll STILL find the same engine in there so it's a good bet that it is EXACTLY the same from a 323F. :P

I know. But when comparing the 1.8 to the 2.0 you'd be hard pressed to be able to spot the difference (unless you have X-ray vision and can spot the extra 200cc displacement!! )

Some people have managed to shovel the 2.5V6 from the MX-6 into the nose of a MX-3!!

....AND they found a 200HP version of the KL engine (a KL-ZE, apparently!!)

...I always suspected that Mazda deliberately UNDER-tuned the V6's for reliability... just didn't realise it was by THAT much!!

it's quite easy to put the 2.5 KL-ZE into the BA

you have to use the KF intake runners s the KL's wont clear the bonnet of the BA, but apart from that it's pretty easy!

No problem. Just get a fibre-glass bonnet and build a bulge into it (subtle style, of course) and perhaps a vent to get more air into the bay!!

true, but fbg bonnets are a no-no here in Aus

oh, and the JDM version of the 2.0 KF has different cams for slightly more power
