well when i turn on the car the ariel tries to go up i can hear the motor trying to go up but it doesnt and the im getting no reception

help!

hardly anyone these days has an original working aerial! Remove the trim from that side of the boot, you can get to the aerial there. Chances are it will need replacing though

The nylon toothed cord at the bottom will have snapped.

Count how many 'sections' your aerial has when fully extended.......then order a replacement 'mast' from a Mazda dealer. They're about £30 and comes complete with a new (attached) nylon cord.

Or - you can replace with an aftermarket aerial but then you need to mess about chopping the wiring......

thanks guys
