speaker wire colours for drivers door

anyone know the pre ford or (post ford to compare) speaker wire colours for the drivers side front speaker?

one of mine is white with a purple line running down it and the others like orange if I remember correctly (camera flash picks it up as yellow and its dark now......

they slipped off the speaker :roll:

trying to figure out which way they go, think ive got it right as one of the connectors only fits properly on one of the terminals it seems....

Test the connections on the wires with a multi-meter for their polarity, then link a 1.5v battery across the speaker terminals. The idea is to get the speaker to push out not suck itself in, so if it goes outwards you have the right polarity ready for your pre-checked wires :thumbup:

thats sounds like a plan but....

how do i test them with a multimeter :oops:

mate another way is to look at the spade connectors on the speaker, they should be different sizes. the wider of the two connectors is the positive i think

its no standard speakers its some 6x9's!

yeah they should have different sized spade connectors on them or at least the pos and neg symbols. all the speakers i've ever installed have either been one or the other mate.

yea i found one was bigger than the other so put them that way
