center dash speaker

today I took this off

it has 2 hards clips fixing it down

is there some kind of pre-instalation here to mount a center speaker or do I have to take all the dash to put the wires?

Quite a few folk have an extra speaker in her Rich/Deep2005, Hull BA I think too. Dont know if its plug and play though :dontknow:

No it's not plug and play........well not that I've found.

I originally had a tweeter mounted in there - but then used a kenwood speaker designed for a Fiat Punto - 70mm I think?

You have to extend the speaker cables to it, and adapt the grill slightly to make it fit.......................even then you can barely tell the difference.

There is a block connector in there for speaker wiring but you'd have to find a speaker from a Type R or Type X to be able to plug it in. You could just plumb into this little loom to fit an aftermarket speaker

since there is wiring shouldn't be hard to connect a speaker directly cable with cable

but richard you think it doesn't worth it?

searched and searched more and no sign of cables
the hole is little too

but well cleaned it very well
and will install under the cap a round air freshner

Here is a guide of what I've done

1-
you will need a round air freshner and a rubber

2-
open the air freshner so you can see the smelly disc

3-
put some "velcro" (that male and female stuff that gloes together) to avoyd plastic sounds in the future

put all things together with the help of the rubber

u can tell diffrence but depends what head unit u have, if u got a kenwood kvt 925 dvd screen then thay have 5.1 built in surround sound so u can tell the diffrence, i had a 3" speaker fitted.

found a speaker to conect in there but the cable has to come from far away
don't know if it worth the work

someone should get a multimetre n measure the resistance off the 2 pins in the plug when playing music :P
check its plugged in

That position will be perfect to fit center channel. You may use peerless 2.5-3 inches drive to fit on this position and need AudioControl System 90 Model 11 center channel amp/processor.

put both tweeters from my composet in there, when the weather improves i'm going to mount them near the door mirrors. the center-spot just doesn't cut it..
