What size are the standard speakers in the front doors on a BG ? I know I could just take the card off and look but I don't want to do it twice ! I know there's already a post about this lower down, but the question didn't really get answered there.

From memory, the front door speakers are 160mm. Please bear in mind its been 1.5 years since I had a BG though.... A double check will take you 10 minutes, and could save you a lot of bother.

ok, got the door card off and the speaker out. it's fooked. the hole in the door is about 130mm diameter. the speaker cone is also 130mm accross. I'm looking at some kenwood 5.25" (130mm ) speakers on fleabay which seem reasonably priced at £14.99 , and the seller also has kenwood 4" speakers for the rear holes at £9.99, so I think that's looking like my best bet at the moment.
I'm not after making my ears bleed, I just want rid of the rasberry noises whilst still getting a decent volume.

Its 130 mm and depth about 45 to 50 mm.. Fo sho!

Ah, I forgot I fitted baffles on my doors......

Anyone had any trouble with the screws holding the rear speakers in ? I ended up having to drill
the heads off and knock the screws out, and have broken the bit where the metal joins the plastic.
Time to get the superglue out !

Oh yes sirreeee.
I had to drill mine out too, I think they're glued in to stop them vibrating loose.

still no closer, the seller reckons I need 160mm speakers for the doors. Guess I'll have just to try Halfrauds - they should have guide books !
