CUSCO Brace installation (shown for a 1.5) - keep

1 - Locate the bolts at the front of the wishbones - my finger's pointing at the drivers
side bolt. As you can see on the bottom photo, you'll need a 17mm socket with extension
bar for the drivers side - to help you get round the sump.

2 - On some cars the bolt is just long enough to foul the sump (stu didn't have this problem?),
so you need to 'brace' it away from it with a bar - so that the bolt ca put right out. Best to be
turning it as the same time as its obviously threaded.The bottom photo here shows the
passengers side bolt when undone.

3 - Once the bolts are out you can put the brace in place, and refit the bolts. The top
photo is the passenger side, and the bottom photo shows the drivers side. Again,
because of the sump you may have to 'turn' the bolt back in using a spanner.

4 - Here's what the brace should look like from under the front of the car once fitted

5 - Again once down on the ground

6 - And finally, as shot from under the passenger side of the car - looking forwards,
and then standing back a bit...........I'm thinking it's gonna be catching on things,
especially roadkill!

yea it does hit some roadkill, a deid bird on the road with its head sticking up on the way back from crail went "thunk" against the brace lol

could feel it like :lol:

What does it feel like to drive now? Did it make a real difference? Was it worth it?

I ain't got a clue - whilst doing mine I found I've got a knackered drivers side front wheel bearing - so I'm taking it steady til I get it replaced.

My guess is that it'll not make the slightest bit of difference, and will probably cause me more problems than it's worth!

It will have stiffened up the front a little bit, but I suspect that the gains will be hard to notice as all the people who bought one already have uprated suspension.

My V6 felt really stiff on the drive home, but then again it was already quite stiff. I'm hoping that it will balance the fantastic whiteline ARB oversteer nicely and make cornering faster

Correct me if you disagree!

Get in touch with Coordsport, they are the UK dealers. I personally met the guy who dealt with our group-buy at a JAE and he was a top bloke.

I'm just thinking, I think this brace will fit together with the UR brace...

Makes me go :shock:

As it braces the shit together at another point,
this actually connects to the bolts. And the UR brace connects to the bits
holding the bolts. Quite interesting this!

Goes off to find a cusco brace...
