Hi all I know this is going to sound daft to alot of club members but where I am there are alot of car washes that all use poor cleaning products dont get me wrong they do a gd job but they don't pay to much attention and the shine is gone a day or two
So I have started washing and polishing all my freinds cars useing meguiars car wash followed by polish and where needed tcut
So my question to you lot out there is if I started to do this for the public only using meguiars cleaning products what would you expect to pay?
Please b honest if I decide to go ahead with it in the new year all gold club members would get a discount 8) offering all the normal car valeting stages

I remember using t-cut on my brothers Cortina about 25 years ago and I thought it was amazing as it turned it from a dull red and pink into gleaming red

I wouldn't go near my car with it now

Mark does know his stuff when it comes to car cleaning and has posted many guides on here about what to use and in what order but yeah....t-cut after polish ???, if you had to use T-cut at all it should be before the polish and should be followed with a good wax.
And I wouldn't use T-cut at all for the job I would go with mequiars paint cleaner or Ultimate compound then a M polish and a carnauba wax.
To sum up Wash to remove surface dirt, clean with paint cleaner or compound then polish, then Wax, Wax is what will keep the shine in.
I don't know what id pay for all that but you would get a lovely finish which would last a hell of a lot longer than a couple of days.
Im not the expert tho, theres plenty of info on here which helped me out.
Good luck in your endeveours tho bud, keep us posted.

I think there has been abit of confusion I know there is a few members out there that do car detailing
Im thinking of offering a car valeting useing meguiars products ie just a basic hand wash followed by a polish
Only useing tcut if asked not to give a paint restore like they do in car detailing

Don't put T-Cut near anything, it's out of date and will damage many modern finishes.

Meguiars Ultimate Compound is your friend :D

Not wishing to cause offence, but if you are going to offer valeting, you don't want to offer a basic hand wash, and then a polish...

Are you going to do any paint prep? What wax or sealant are you going to use after a polish? What about trims, wheels, arch liners, glass, rubbers, soft tops, bright work etc? You'll need different products for different paint finishes too, even down to the colour! Do you have facilities?

There is a massive difference between washing your friends' cars with a better product than they usually use, and valeting cars. There is also a big reason why I don't do many valets, 95% of my work is detailing...most people that really care enough are clever enough to go to halfords and buy some decent cleaning gear, those that don't use the £5 wash in the local supermarket carpark. Some people go to so called valeters, that think it's easy money and offer a machine polish for £30, and then go to people like myself, to correct the damage caused.

If you are serious, then good luck with it, but do plenty of research first :)

No I do know what your saying marc im not going to offer a machine polish cuz I know that is not a easy job to do and do correctly
As for everything else there is lots of diff stages that are up for offer all depends if you want a basic wash or a full wax
All of witch is done inside
the same as there is diff stages for the interior as well
