Well I'm rather enjoying this one personally. Had loads of different cars in the past (getting hire cars too and from ship) most of which were diesels and this is definitely one of the better diesel cars that I have driven. Either way I'm going to be going from 2 to 3 full tanks a month to 1 so that in itself is going to make a big difference. It is also 163hp as standard and I would definitely say it's quicker than a uk v6 ba. Maybe not through the corners (as it's a little wollowy) but it does accelerate very well and a little remap will take it to just over 200hp if I wanted |

Let's be honest.....most turbo diesels are quicker than a BA haha. It will save you huge amounts in fuel I guess dude definitely worth the swap!

Nice ![]() Does the job you need it to, so it's all good...and at least it's rear wheel drive, so combined with the masses of torque you get, it'll be drifty fun all winter long

Sound choice, I've driven one of these a few times, and also the Efficient dynamics version. I preferred the power delivery of the Ed, but the suspension setup on the std 320d I thought was better. I also liked how if you just leave the angel eyes on - stuff literally gets out of your way on the motorway, don't get that in a mazda 323f! |

Not really sure what there is to hate about an e90, other half has one and it is very nice. It is remapped too, which does make it much more interesting... yet on a recent trip to the Lakes and back did 58mpg. That's only a cool 42 more than my Range Rover ![]() http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1142509 Just noticed you can see my BA and P38 lurking in the background of some of those pics ![]() The only things I sort of dislike about them is I find it quite a bit more cramped than my E39 and P38, 6 cyl and V8 armchairs in comparison

So I managed to do the clutch and flywheel last week before I did a little 450mile journey. It is definitely by far one of the heaviest gearboxes I have ever worked with. Managed to remove it myself and get the new clutch and flywheel in and then trying to get the gearbox back in I could barely lift it up. I had to get a friend to pop over and help me lift it in. But even with the two of us we couldn't actually lift it up so had to use 2 scissor jacks. Any way once it was back in I got two bolts in and left it like that over night and then continued by my self the following day. Anyway I think it is fare to say it is properly run in now and had no issues which is always a good thing |

Nice job fitting the clutch and flywheel yourself. After doing another gearbox last weekend I have promised myself to never ever take a gearbox off when the engine is still in the car. Had the same struggles with a much lighter gearbox. In the end put it on a hydraulic jack and managed it but it took a lot of swearing and an sore back. Keep it clean, I love the e90's!

Cheers sneakz. Yeah I've done quite a few cutches before and this was by far the heaviest I have ever dealt with. My friend works in a body shop so I gave home some racing seats for his drift bmw and as payment he is going to be going over every panel on the car and spraying what needs spraying and polishing what needs polishing. So it should be uber clean soon |

Cherry blosson nuthin'. I parked my Dad's BMW under a tree at uni in the early 90's during the day for shade. However I stayed late into the night...and the tree was a Moreton Bay Fig. (Madaz should have twigged by now to the direction this will take) And it was fruit season. And the bats came at night for a feed whilst I was inside... There was nothing Holy about the crap, nor did I see the sweet side of the dropped half-eaten fruit either. I swept large chunks of fruit off the car with my hands before I even got to drive off. Cleaned when I got home and luckily no lasting damage done. Patrick |
