My friend and I have decided to start our motorsport journey with the cheapest form of motorsport, dirt racing on a field
We have a (once) beautifull mazda 323f bg '89 with a mighty 1600cc sohc 16v. It used to be a more luxurious spec, but we tore out as much as possible.
Now we are looking for some extra pony's (n/a and with this engine to stay within our class) but it turns out there aren't that many options for this engine. I read a dohc head from an mx3 fits and would use the same cams as an mx5, is this correct? And if so, is it bolt on or a bit more advanced than that? Are there some common things we need to watch out for when abusing this car?
I'm not really familiar with the working of forums so please excuse me if I'm doing something wrong.
