ok so after my rant about being told to buy a scooby and sayin i dont no anything (i did laugh when reading it to be fair)
firstly anybody know if the 2.0 or 2.5 just bolts in? (i dont want your opinion i want fact)
if not is there a company that makes the custom mounts?(usually companies that fit the engines)
ok so question time over and time to tell you all who dont seem to know about turbos!
the uk engines will have higher compression than the us models for performance reasons blah blah, to add a turbo you would need to add a lower compression piston as the pressure would be to much making it blow up one way or another. keeping the original fuel pump is pretty stupid as the turbo force feeds the engine more air so should have a high pressure fuel pump.
oh so you know what you're talking about?
firstly, explain how honda people in the US have successfully turbo'd their high compression engines and run it low boost... daily driven without problems
high compression alone does not prevent turbo installation nor low compression is the only way to have a turbo... overall piston design (squish area, etc) and fuel/ignition control play a more significant role in keeping the engine together... lowering compression has always just been the old easy way out, it is not THE answer
second, you know nothing about the stock fuel BJ pump... ASSuming yourself is stupid on your part
the stock fuel pump provides plenty flow and pressure upwards to 20psi of boost... this has been proven already by other americans... regardless of this, there's no arguing that mazda deemed it sufficient for the Mazdaspeed Protege's stock turbo setup, including its "measly" 285cc injectors
so if you really know all this stuff, why are you asking us all these questions to begin with? you know everything, you figure it out!
