Turbo for KF-ZE 2.0 V6

Does anybody know where i could get pricing or even find a turbo kit for the 2L V6?
I would love to know.

only place I've seen them mate is in europe somewhere- www.jeroentje.nl - they got somethings there- but hardly affordable
seriously- if u want power put the kl-ze in- comparatively easy to a turbo mate- its what I've done

Yeah my main problem is getting a kl-ze . . . and transplanting.

dude- I found one on trademe for $500- saw another one not so long ago too
I can keep an eye out 4 ya if you want.
your right tho- transplanting is a bit of effort aye- took me 2 months to get my car back on the road- but I didn't have much help at all. If you have a good team of mates I rekon it can be done in one weekend easy- one week max.
Turbo would be cooler tho

That would be awsome mate. I am really keen for a turbo ae. I wanna keep the KF in my car. even if the power will be limited i reckon i could still make it a rocket.
If you could send me a link of this turbo you found that would be mint, and if you could keep an eye out that would be great. Thankyou

thats your exhaust taken care of- looking at this turbo would go where the airbox was, of course.
but at 449 quid- mate- thats like $1400!!!
And i don't know what turbo would suit...

Seriously dude- how much are u willing to spend- because I can't figure how it can be done for less than $3000- exhaust headers are expensive- turbo, intercooler, and you'll have to either get a new computer or a piggy back system because theres no way the stock chip could handle a turbo. And if you want it to last you'll have to do the head gasket
I don't wanna put u off it mate- just be aware of how difficult it really is......

lol the electic charger. thats quite funny... but might work. Not keen on turbo simulator though.
but i am willing to spend up to $5000 NZD for turboing my car. it will take me a bit longer saving but thats my limit.... could be more though.
The only thing with the one on jeroentje.nl is will it fit right and would fitting be difficult, also how much for postage to new zealand not cheap i imagine.
Hmmmm. this seems like it is going to be one large long mission. :-(

yeah, i dunno. I think i will now be waiting till next year when i have alot of savings to do my engine mods... :-(

it's sad but flatting expenses have now come along and university costs a bundle so will see what happens next year. Im still keen to get a KLZE and turbo it.

You can get a KL-DE instead, way cheaper and you have a lower compression 2.5 KL, so better for the turbo you want and you can probably gain more without braking a higher compression engine to bits and pieces.

I did have seen the turbo kit from Jeroentje on a MX3 with a KLZE and also nitro in it, but as i can recall the guy had 2 times cracked his pistons and valves....

yeah sounds sick. I have a 2.5 kl lined up to buy for 600NZD!!! but im going to get it all serviced up and ported and new pistons, valves and all before whacking it in. stupid laws in nz require me to recertify the car at a rediculously large price. damn laws. Oh and atm im driving a 1.8l 1993 lantis just like mine but white... maybe its not a 1.8 thoguh because it goes nowhere, but im driving it coz some dickhead was drunk driving and smashed the right hand side of the bumper to biits bent the metal and screwed over my light when my car was parked!!! lucky for insurance, it's costing them 3990NZD to repair it thats like a new engine put in by a shop and recertification. To bad the drunk person took off in their car otherwise theyd have a huge fine. damn them

Check out the probe/mx6 turbo kits on US ebay. They sell complete manifold/turbo kits for a reasonable price. I don't know anyone who's done it so I'm not sure what internal mods would be required :dontknow:

Firstly mate- that sucks, I'm glad u had insurance, but if its gonna cost them $4000 to repair I would have thought they would write it off.
So you're going for the kl aye, good stuff- and in regards to recertifying the car- do what I did and just say its still the original 2L engine- they look the same haha. - unless u have to recertify it because u got a turbo, i dunno.

Yeah i'll have to recertify due to turbo, thats the problem. Otherwise i'd be like what are you talking about this is just the 1990cc original engine. but yeah.
Oh and they were going to write it off but i managed to convince the valuer otherwise. A few comments on it's got low k's and is a very tidy car and havn't had any problems which is untrue but still. oh and te excess is only $250 hurrah!!
