Hi,

I'm after a set of roof bars for a 97 BA at sensible money.

There are a quite a few sets advertised on flea bay for various 323 models but, some claim to fit both BA and BJ models. Others claim to fit cars from 96 onwards which I would thought was middle of the BA range!! Was there a significant change mid range? They all look the same to my uninformed eyes!

Would one of the club gurus be so kind to clarify whether the roof bar fittings are the same on both BA and BJ models?

Also, if any one has a set of bars they no longer have need for. I'd be more than happy to pay a fair price for them,

Thanks

I bought a set of Paddy Hopkirk roof bars (401U) and the mounting feet (K07) off eBay a few years back and they have been bulletproof and very sturdy. There always pairs floating about for sensible money on there.

Thule bars are, I'm told, easier and quicker to fit (PH ones require a bit of tinkering with hex-keys and bolts and are not particularly aerodynamic), but if you will only need the bars once in a while the PH ones are fine.

I have a 96/97 Innsbruck by the way
