As title as I hate the ba's bus-esque steering wheel I've been looking at other options, one of which is the steering wheel from a 626, I've seen in mentioned on old threads that it does fit, however I want to know if it is a complete straight swap including airbag connections etc
Don't really want to be messing about chopping and cutting plugs tbh

Steering wheel I've found is a nice leather one from a high spec 51 plate with all the carbon fibre interior trim

Any info would be great before I spend £25 on it to find its a headache to fit

Thanks in advance

Its should plug straight in mate, I've an RX7 wheel in mine, even has cruise control buttons Be nice if I could make THAT work

The plugs for the airbags seem to be a common fit across most, if not all Mazdas, I suspect you can swap different generations of model as well, wouldn't surprise me either if you could fit an airbag wheel from pretty much any car!?!?!?!

That's awesome thanks mate I will pop over and get it and give it a go

Try and take some pics of your airbag connectors before you spend the money chap, just to be on the safe side

Will do, I was going to take the steering wheel off the BA that they have in there and double check it fits 100% first before buying it

They're pretty lenient and just let you get on with things, helped by the fact I'm on first name terms with the lads in there

thats good to know, mine has deteriorated massively through use over the years, i currently have one of those covers on mine
