just getting sorted to fit the v6 splitter on womble, now, with it being a 1.5 there are no holes for the splitter tabs to fit into so i have removed these, my question is....
do i fix it all together and fit?, or is it best done section at a time?
if section at a time then i would guess its a case of centre section first, and then the sides, then finish off with fixing bolts to connect into one whole piece

cheers

I'd attach the 3 sections together, then use some stainless steel self-tapping screws to fit the whole thing to the bumper, starting in the middle.

For me, its easier to get the bumper off to work on it rather than crawling around under the car. Bumper is dead easy to remove :thumbleft:

Well, you could always park with the nose off a kerb so you have some more room, or drive up some ramps :dontknow:

Front bumper is easy to remove from a BA though :) 3 bolts per headlight (10mm), then they wriggle out, revealing two 14mm nuts on each side behind the bumper, and a 10mm bolt attaching it to the wing. Then 3 plastic clips in each arch liner. Peel the liner back a bit to reveal a screw right in the upper corner of the bumper - undo it (or snap it  ) Then there might be some bolts underneath attaching the plastic undertray (if you have one) - then pull it off :thumbleft:

Shame your so far away, I'd have it off in 5 minutes

When I fitted mine, and it was over ten years ago when I did, I borrowed my then girlfriends brothers garage, which had a pit :thumbright: and I used stainless bolts, but then again, I am a tad anal about fitting stuff ;)

To be fair though, it's not budged much in the last decade, had to tighten one or two bolts a few years back but basically it's been perfect, even to the point where the splitter has been bent back flat on many occasions and its always popped straight back in place :D

Bolts rock the house!!!
