can anyone tell me the best, and easiest way of removing the bump strips off the doors of my car, ive never really liked them so this was always planned anyway. Are they held on with clips or are they glued on? thanks |

Not sure what car you have, but probably held on with tape, BA defo taped on. I did it by warming the door with a 500W spot lame to soften the glue, and then used an old credit card to start lifting it then slowly pealed it of. Plenty of elbow grease to the strip the remaining glue with solvent and polish to finish. |

lots of ignorance is required.... an when you find the person who thought it was a good idea to put them on the car inthe first place.... kindly shove them up there a**e! i found cooking oil helped with the stickyness

cheers guys for helping out, mazz youre definately right. ive never liked the things on any car ive ever had ill make sure there is no lifting of the laquer roy, one thing im definately going to have to invest in is a decent 'mop', the paintwork is starting to look a bit jaded with age, and im guessing when the strips come off there will be a very clean line on every door that hasnt been exposed to the sun.......oh joy |

On my white BA there was slight discolouration where the strips had been, a good polish and it was hardly noticible
