I once had a 2001 Accord Type-R, but all i have left of that now, are the 17" rims.
I have been wondering what i should do with them, and i just realized that they actually fit on my 323f BA 2.0V6

Well that's what i think anyway. I'm not an expert at judging what rims will fit on different cars, so i thought i'd ask you guys first before i ruin my car ^_^

I found some info about the Accord rims i have on this polish site. Now, i don't speak polish, but i the info there is easy enough to understand.

From what i can see, the only thing that's a bit different is the ET. 55 on the accord rims, but 45 in the F.
Will this be a problem?

Is there anything i need to make it work, like spacers? (might be asking a dumb question here, because i honestly never really understood what a spacer actually did, so sorry if its a stupid question).

Also, it seems to be 7" wide - is that working on the 323? Or is it too wide?
I got no idea what the width of the ones i have on currently is, but i remember the accord ones as being quite wide.

Hmmm, interesting question.
According to my information the Type-R from 2001 had 215/45x17 wheels and tyres, on 17" wheels 7" wide with an offset (ET) of 55, and PCD 114 at 5-studs.
The 2.0 V6 BA 323 Mazda as standard had 205/50x16 wheels and tyres, on 16" wheels either 6" or 6.5" wide, with an offset (ET) of 50 and PCD 114 at 5 studs, but there were options to have 205/45x17 and 215/40x17 with offsets of 48 (6.5") and 42 (7") respectively.

So they are very close. Technically the Accord wheels will "Fit" onto the 323 studs, provided it clears the callipers, but there may be some issues.
The profile of 45 is slightly bigger than the 40 supposedly needed for the 323.
7" wide could mean it touches the wheel arch liner on full lock.
The ET is more of a worry, you are changing the handling characteristics. Have a good look on line to see if you think this is an acceptable change.

So, i realized that i didn't actually know what wheels i had on the car, since they came with the car.
The only thing i knew was that they where 17" - but i had no idea what ET or width they where.

So today, i took a look at them, and it would seem that someone either sanded down, or proper painted over that information, so i have no idea. Only thing i know about them is the tire mounted on them is 235x45R17.
According to the website you linked, that means that they "should" be 7.5" wide, but who knows if the previous owner took that into consideration!

But assuming they are 7.5", that makes the Honda ones slimmer, and, i guess, more likely to fit.
Here is where my understanding on wheels starts to cease though. The ET is different on the Honda ones, and the Mazda OEM ones, but that does not mean that it's not the same on the ones i have that came with the car, and the Honda ones. Phu, what a mess.
