ive got myself a little project in mind and thought i would run it past a few of you first.......ive got an idea to wrap the bonnet, roof and tailgate in 4D carbon wrap but im unsure as to what it will look like against the blue.....anyone done this before so i can get a realistic minds eye picture?

editive just found this as a rough idea....

How did you get on with the carbon wrap idea,i ran that idea with my 323 but i'm only just getting into all this 323f stuff and i have got myself lowering springs, alloys, spoiler so much to do and the weather dont make it easy as i dont have the use of a garage so being delayed is doing my head in. Anyway let us no or show me a photo if possible your 323 is the look i'm after obviously with a few personal touches. all the best Nick Cara :salute:

must admit i do like the carbon wrap but its not exactly easy to do. With the contours on the roof it could be difficult as it the weave of the carbon could be stretched and looks gay! Personally I think too much carbon looks a bit poo but it could look good against the blue. You probably could do it nicely smurf but it will take a long time and lots of patience lol

:)

hi guys, good points raised there lerch, and yup, i bought ayrton's carbon skinned bonnet....the difference between the real fibre and the wrap is night and day, the depth of shine, the weave etc are second to non, and now i wouldnt dream of adding the wrap to the roof...
that said there are other options nick, but as ever it depends on your budget.
lots of spare money will buy you a full carbon bonnet and about a million jdm points :D
next step down is to go for a carbon skinned bonnet, again not cheap, but an amazing result you will be very happy with,

then there is the dipping option, i cant comment on how it looks in real life, but get in touch with paul323f, he has his own dipping business and im sure he can give you all the ins and outs regarding this option.

then there is the wrap option, cheap(ish) and chearfull, this would be better if you are going for the stealth look, as from what i have seen, even the 'shiny 3D' stuff ends up with a matte finish.

ill have a look about as when i had my x3 one of the lads on the forum wrapped his roof and like lerch says, it was tricky as hell to do, and that was without a sun roof if i remember correctly.

but here is womble, shameless pic showing off, but i love it

Cheers Baz, yeah she is coming together nicely, a few more things to add in the coming weeks too, its at the point where i am happy with her now, few niggles, mainly engine wise, but all in all happy.
And yeah, the doors are all sorted now, managed to find two matching ones down Leeds way, a day full of epic wins, and hilariously epic fails :D
