Hi all I am intending on painting the original grill black but would like to know what it looks like on the BJ. Does anyone have pics of one in their car, even better it the car us red.

Whats on yours at the moment? thy type with the chrome across the top?. Colour coding it is a great look in my opinion. better than black

I went for black. Prefer it to colour coding as I think the grill area looks too small with the top colour coded. Just my opinion though!

Rasco has the facelift sport, like mine, so his grill will be different to yours.

I say, definitely colour-code yours to black mate, just key it up and spare it and it'll look good!

If you have the chrome one, thoroughly sand it, then use an etch primer - you'll get much better adhesion

Yes that's my grill mate, may go with the black as going red in colour may make the grill look too small

What do people usually paint theirs with satin or gloss black ?

I would use Satin on it mate

You could paint the black bit that's in the badge now nice shiny red

Once I get the grill painted then I will use the red I am getting to paint my calipers to do the insert or maybe just the mazda sign
