What other engines are a straight swap for the Z5?
Either of the BP engines? I'd like to put a BG 1.8 in but I was told it's not a straight swap.

There are no straight swaps for the Z5, other than an identical Z5 engine!

BP is a relatively simple swap, but you will need to transfer the ECU, wiring harness, etc. You can keep your 1.5 gearbox though, which means you don't need to mess around with driveshafts, mounts, clutch, flywheel etc.

A Electrical propulsion system is always a choice, i'm going to convert my F somewhere in the near future..

So a BG GT engine would fit if I changed the engine mounts, and it would also fit to the Z5 gearbox? That would save some hassle, then I'd just need the ECU and loom and I guess auxiliary stuff?

You'd have to call it a "323E" though ....
