So I had a lot of problems with the engine and finally bought a dizzy which fixed them. Problem is the Tach isn't working no more.

Engine is 2.0 KF

Now this has been a long time ago but I can recall that the Tach had issues before me replacing the Dizzy.

The Dizzy is from a Mazda Millenia engine which is similar but not identical. Can the dizzy be the issue?

ECU gets tacho sig from ign. coil ground negative. On the dizzy small connector (3pin) it's the red wire (i believe it's in middle)

millenia dizzy is different. you can change the connector part of the dizzy but you'd have to strip the whole thing down to the coil. its sort of in 3 sections behind the plastic disc which the rotor sits above, the hall sensors and ignition amplifier sits like another disc with the connector leg sticking from it. There are 3 Philips(pozzy) screws holding it in and that connects to the coil. coils are the same, its just the middle bit thats different with hall sensors and ignition amp in you need to swap
