Hi Guys,

I own a 1995 Astina with a 1.8 BP (non vvt) engine and a G5M01 transmission.

I'm currently making 150WHP and my engine runs pretty good as it was overhauled less than 2000KM ago (including high compression pistons and Toda 264 cams and HKS ECU).

So my G5M01 transmission seems ok so far except for the dreaded 3rd gear and I was wondering if G5M01 is meant to handle over 150WHP ?
I've seen people say G25M-R can handle big power, but I couldn't find much info about G5M01.

What do you guys think?
(I'm planning on buying a MFactory LSD, so I probably should decide if I want to keep this transmission or not before I buy the LSD)

PS. This car was delivered in Thailand with around 90WHP in 1995 and I have no idea about what the previous owners had done to the transmission, so I'm open to swapping it if G5M01 is supposed to be a weak transmission.
