Hello,

I want to upgrade my rear drums of my 323f ba '94 to discs. I found one complete suspension rear system from a 323 bj '98 1.8 that using rear discs 261mm 4x100.
Teey are 10mm bigger than the std 251mm of ba v6 / mx3 setup.

Did someone tried this solution?
Except the rear cross subframe all the others seems identical in shape (trailing arms - hubs - steering knuckles)

Regards,
Alex

Hi,
Personally I wouldn't want to try putting any BJ suspension onto a BA. They are very different cars.
It's possible the BA V6 discs could be made to fit, but the carriers are very different. It could be a hard job.
I think there is a member on here that put V6 front disks on the front of a 1.5, but that would also be a lot of work.
Is there a problem with the rear drums you have? They normally work OK.

I personaly did the V6 rear disks and they look nice.
I say look nice as they give only one benefit, they don't fade after 10 hard brakes..
If you drive normaly, they didn't make any difference.
Disks from a BJ would want their own hubcarriers because of the larger ofset.
This could lean to bad thing as i belive that the shock "boot" is with different dimentions..
So you could end with changing and the suspension wich could not fit.. and then it will be a headache..
Find a V6 and get the hubcarriers with the brakes and you're done.
