Not sure if others are aware of this, but you can use Sprocket nuts from a motor bike to hold your front brace on:

They come in several anodised colours instead of the normal silver/metal/rusty nuts and have the flange bit already on them unlike some other nuts.

Mine are Anodised Blue Titanium ones from: http://www.moorespeedracing.co.uk/sproc ... s-m10.html (other suppliers available of course)

Just make sure to get M10 ones, they should have the 1.25mm pitch as standard (but check). Oh, and a pack of 6 not 5!
