Sorry to bring up an old chestnut but all the links to the guide to remove the rear bumper are broken. Can anyone help?
I'm going to commit the sin of fitting a towbar, its either that or get another car (and I like my R reg Exec auto)

Take the rear light cluster out and undo the screws underneath.

Whip out the boot trim and you'll find 2 golden coloured nuts at each side. I believe they're 10mm. Undo these.

Remove the 12mm (I think) nuts one in the middle and one just above the tail pipe accessible from under the car. This one will be seized and will shear off.

Pull bumper off.

Done.

Cup of tea.

mine for both cars are 14mm nuts inside and underneath

the nuts underneath all sheared of after suitable force was used

but when i fit the newer bumper i shouldnt make any difference

also the mud flaps and wheel linings can be an a**e to take off so drill them out to save ruining them

guys, quick question:

my rear bumper has come loose right where it attaches to the wheel arch. Theres some sort of bolt holding the wheel arch and the bumper in place, but the bottom part of the bolt has come loose and thus the edge of the bumper is sticking out.

However, i can't seem to find out if it's a bolt that is holding everything in place or something else?

any advice?

Get a picture so we can see which bit you mean - if I remember right, there is a screw going upwards behind the arch liner right at the end of the bumper, could be that?

but i already decided i'll just kit the bumper in place, really not feeling like doing anything special since the car is being sold anyway.
